AIIMS IRAQ HOSPITAL

A conceptual design for the proposed hospital which was designed entirely below ground for safety reasons as it is an active war zone. The whole land was divided on a grid made of perfect square-shaped zones. The squares were further divided by four more squares, each consisting of a covered courtyard with skylights and fountains. The landscaped courtyards were surrounded by rooms. The masterplan was created with modularity, keeping in mind future expansions.
